Grow your collection with a set of two Vittatum Spider Plants (Chlorophytum comosum 'Vittatum'). This classic spider plant variety is known for its long, arching green leaves with a creamy white stripe running through the center.

Their flowing foliage makes Vittatum Spider Plants beautiful additions to shelves, plant stands, and hanging displays. As they mature, they may also produce long stems with small plantlets—often called spiderettes or "babies"—that can eventually be propagated into new plants.

Bright, indirect light is ideal for maintaining healthy growth and variegation. Vittatum Spider Plants can tolerate lower-light conditions, although growth may be slower. Avoid prolonged harsh direct sunlight, which can scorch the foliage.

💧 Water

Allow the upper portion of the soil to begin drying between waterings. Water thoroughly and allow excess water to drain. Avoid keeping the soil constantly wet.

💦 Humidity

Average household humidity is generally suitable. Very dry conditions may contribute to brown leaf tips.

Vittatum Spider Plants do well in typical indoor temperatures. Protect them from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.

🌱 Growth

As the plants mature, their long, arching foliage creates a fuller appearance. Established plants may also produce trailing stems with small spiderettes that can eventually be propagated.

Spider plants (Chlorophytum comosum) are generally considered non-toxic to cats and dogs. As with any houseplant, it's still best to discourage pets from chewing on the foliage.
